Special Achievement in GIS Award

It is my distinct pleasure to inform you that your site has been selected to receive a “Special Achievement in GIS” award at ESRI’s 27th Annual User Conference. This award is being given to user sites around the world in recognition of their outstanding work in the GIS field. Your organization was selected to receive this prize from over 100,000 user sites worldwide.

The awards will be presented at a special ceremony on Wednesday, June 20th, from 3:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m. in Hall A in the San Diego Convention Center. This special event is open to all registered attendees of the conference. Spouses are invited to attend the ceremony as guests.

Once again ESRI will be showcasing all SAG award winners and their applications on the ESRI Web site at www.esri.com/sag. Our goal is to feature your organization and to share the importance of your contributions in GIS to our global community.

To do this we need you to submit your GIS Project and Press Release information as soon as possible at https://events.esri.com/uc/2007/sag/ . Please use your e-mail address to login and follow the instructions on the submission form. If you have questions regarding Web site submission, please contact sagprojectinfo@esri.com. You will also need to verify your contact and award information. We hope you’ll be excited to participate.

If you have any questions regarding this award please contact sagcontactinfo@esri.com . Attached you will find information about the event, as well as frequently questions asked about the awards. We hope you will find this useful.

At this year’s ESRI International User Conference in San Diego we will be interviewing selected SAG Award Recipients. The audio recording of the interview will be featured in a series of podcasts as part of the ESRI Speaker series. Podcasts are audio programs that are distributed over the Internet and can be played back on mobile devices and personal computers. You can find out more about ESRI’s current podcast series here .

This informal interview will last about 30 minutes during which we will ask you about your work in GIS that has led to you being selected to receive this year’s SAG Award. If you are interested in being interviewed, please email Debbra Sorenson at dsorenson@esri.com , and we will send you further details and information.

In order to help ensure your award receives the recognition it deserves, please pay special attention to the below dates:
Friday, April 27th – all award names need to be verified
Friday, May 18th – all Press Release information must be submitted online

I congratulate you and your coworkers on a job well done and look forward to meeting you at the ceremony.

Warm regards,

Jack Dangermond
