BASIC METADATA FOR LAYER: Formal and informal land tenure change since PROCEDE by parcel
Land tenure changes in four comunities of the "Huasteca Potosina Study Area"; (La Pila, Las Armas, Tazáquil, and Chimalaco). Data obtained from two sources:
1. Participatory research mapping by groups of community members and UASLP students, via sketch maps and interviews.
2. Data collected from the PROCEDE lists of land tenure at the beginning of the program (Acta de delimitación, destino y asignación de derechos sobre las tierras ejidales) in each community, and compared to the updated agrarian registry in 2005.
ATTRIBUTE CODE DEFINITIONS FOR FIELD "Tenencia" (type of ownership change since PROCEDE):
SC -- no change
VI -- sold internally (to another ejidatario)
VIP -- sold internally (to other person, e.g. posesionario)
VINO -- sold internally, not oficially
VE -- sold externally
VENO -- sold externally not officially
CPM -- official internal change due to owner's death
CNO -- not official internal change due to owner's death
CPO -- change for other reason
CE -- change erroneo (there was a change but the list of "sujetos" show other kind of change)
DCP -- parcel divided, at least one lot sold internally
D -- divided but not sold
PI -- uncertain ownership
Fecha_vent -- Year of sale, if known
